Review: Tely Labs TelyHD
TelyHD is a high-def but reasonably priced webcam that's blissfully easy to use and tied to everybody's favorite free video-calling service, Skype.
Grandparent-friendly setup takes all of 10 minutes. Unlimited free video calls via Skype. Calls look good overall and sound a million times better than on a laptop. SD and USB ports for plug-and-play photo sharing
You can accomplish more or less the same thing for free with the webcam built into your laptop or tablet. Doesn’t support multi-party calls. Video doesn’t always look like it’s 720p. Awkward TV-mount system

Poor, grainy video in all lighting
I would not recommend this device.
It's nice to have a device that mounts to the TV and provides Skype functionality. Incoming video looks good
The camera quality is poor. In all lighting, it was grainy, blurry, and blacks came off blue. I exchanged the first one, hoping it was simply a bad unit but had the exact same issue with the second one. Do not buy

Should be a way to use standard keyboard with this device other than switching inputs on tv. I got this device for my wife for her birthday. HAPPY, she calls her family(all over Europe) for hours. Maybe next version will do all I want.

Easy setup
typing in skype names is tedious but one can add a keyboard.
Really easy to setup! Works right out of the box. Picture and audio very clear
Yes it is expensive but for people who are not technologically astute, this product fits the bill. I got it for my parents ; Remote has limited functionality but it does the job
