Cherry MX Red switches means a quiet, light-touch mechanical keyboard. These are non-tactile switches, so you get a smooth, silent depress all the way down, with the contact making a little more than halfway down. If you don't bottom out the switches...

There really aren't any "cons" that I have found on this keyboard ; I do wish it had PS/2 connectivity as well as that is my preferred interface for technical reasons including true n-key rollover

The Vengeance K70

 

If you're thinking of buying this keyboard and have the money for it I highly recommend it.

Being my first Mechanical keyboard the K70 has been a great buy. I was choosing between this and a few others and so far this has yet to disappoint

Fancier models also sport macro keys...

Beautiful 4 levels of lighting from off to 3 other levels. Beautiful cloth covered cords, Ft & rear lighting from each and every key with the light spilling nicely behind the keys. The SILVER one looks best, with the red lighted keys. I love the travel...

None - it was also ON SALE! - The "Game Keys" are not elegant and do not match, but I'm not much of a gamer; but gamers are sure impressed when they see it. (just toss them if you don't need them)

I am glad this keyboard comes in other colors then just black. I was upset when they discontinued the gunmetal color because it had blue backlit LEDs but, silver does it as much justice. Sadly, with red LEDs.

This keyboard is perfect for everything you need. From typing a paper to playing videos games. This keyboard is the best. With the different type of Cherry MX switches you can have the key presses be as loud as you like(Different colors depends on the...
