Really needs to be supplied with a pouch. They are useful and probebly cost Cannon pennies to supply.

Amazing quality, I'm using it on a 7D so the crop factor means get isolation of the subject from the background.

I bought this for use with a canon 70D but the lens brings you too close to the subject. It's great for full frame cameras but with cropped sensor cameras it's equivalent to a 135mm lens. That puts you too close to the subject and shooting indoor...

The lens focuses very quickly in low light situations, the image quality and fine detail are very good - the resolution is higher than my L series zooms but the lens, having a fixed focal length, is obviously not at versatile. Over all a good portrait...

As previously mentioned you do get some purple fringing when using the lens wide open. However, this only seems to happen in areas of high contrast eg when the subject is shot backlit by the sun or other light source. The whole image isn't effected,...
