Canon Tamron 28-75mm lens

Perfect range of focal lengths for portrait work. Superb image quality from f/4.0, but quite useable wide open too. Nicely built - feels solid and well engineered.

Focus can hunt a little in poor light. No manual focus over-ride in auto-focus mode. Manual aperture ring difficult to access on Pentax K3 (but not necessary in use). Lens hood is very tight fit (too tight!) Plastic filter thread is a bit fussy with my...

Lovely lens. Delivered in perfect condition. Very well packaged.

After reading your warning about turning the focus ring when in AF mode , I find myself doing just that when looking through the view finder. Perhaps a smooth hard finish for the focus ring and a soft ribbed finish for the zoom would help.

No full time manual focus override

Excellent price for the range that it covers. Sharp and good for Portraits. I'm using it on a Compact sensor camera so i'm not completely benefitting from this range as much i would with a full frame, however still suitable for outdoor photography.
