excellent build quality as you would expect a really useful zoom lens covering a wide range of focal lengths IS system provides valuable additional low light range and excellent off-tripod image quality AF system is precise and reliable

the overall weight of the lens and the balance at long focal lengths are the only significant drawbacks

Despite weight it is easy to hold and operate. Focus is rapid and accurate. Good sharpness and the IS does seem to improve slow shutter speed sharpness.

It is rather heavy.

Superb Quality ,fast auto focus,fantastic all round lens.i use this lens all the time on location and in the studio,i dont need to be constantly changing lenses as the focal length covers all applications.

Heavy , this is not a lens to take to the park with your kids, or one you want to carry around all day. Price, but for professional appications its worth every penny. Quality comes with a price like all things in life.

easy to operate.peviously i used 28-75 @ 75-300 lens,much easier/more convenient having only 1 lens,no rushing to change lens when need arises,which it seemed to at infuriatingly frequent times.makes unplanned photo taking easy ,no longer caught with...

do remember this lens is heavy.
