Toshiba Qosmio X775

When NVIDIA played its signature GPU number-bump card back in May, it made a point to throw around some big names. Alienware, MSI and ASUS each announced notebooks with the outfit's new GeForce GTX 560M, but one lone machine played coy, listed only as...

Brilliant graphics ; Fast and powerful ; Reasonably priced

Tacky design ; Awkward trackpad ; Particularly short battery life

The Toshiba Qosmio X775-3DV78 may not be a thing of beauty, but gamers looking for a killer desktop replacement won't be disappointed.

Toshiba Qosmio X775-Q7170

The Toshiba Qosmio X775-Q7170 gaming laptop offers great sound and 30-fps gaming, but we wish it had more horsepower and higher resolution.

Fast graphics. Comfortable keyboard. Symphonic sound.

Good but not great screen and CPU. DVD, not Blu-ray, drive. Big and bulky.

Toshiba X775-Q7170 review: Toshiba X775-Q7170

Toshiba X775-Q7170

The ; is a midprice big-screen gaming laptop that comes from one of our favorite high-end laptop lines. It includes a powerful GPU for gaming.

The plastic design looks and feels dated and a bit cheap. Serious gamer and multimedia types would likely spend a bit more for a 1080p screen and Core i7 CPU.

With the recent emphasis on better materials and design across all laptop segments, the gaudy, plastic Toshiba Qosmio X775-Q7170 delivers decent performance, but not a look to match.

7 Great All-in-One Desktop PCs

Traditional tower desktops have had a good run. All-in-one PCs--expensive upstarts just two or three years ago--have all but usurped the throne.

Toshiba Qosmio X775-3DV78

Once you get over the X775's bold look, you can start appreciating what's inside the laptop—starting with the 17.3-inch widescreen. Not only is the screen resolution scaled to the highest one available, but it's intensely bright and has excellent...

Very good performance. Stylish, comfortable keyboard. Display supports full 1080p HD. Integrated Nvidia 3DVision. Blu-ray reader, two large hard drives included

Atrocious battery life. Tacky design. Lacks graphics switching system. Mouse buttons are noisy

The Toshiba Qosmio X775-3DV78 is powerful gaming laptop that comes with 3D eyewear, but you're laying down a lot of money for a tacky design and less than an hour of battery life.

Toshiba Qosmio X775-Q7272 Laptop Review

Like A Rock. Toshiba's Qosmio X775-Q7272 might epitomize everything that comes with its 17.3-inch form factor, but solid build quality and impressive specifications make the laptop capable of handling virtually anything.

Phenomenal performance, Large screen, Blu-Ray, Great gaming performance and a Blu-Ray drive

Poor battery life, Average screen performance, Pop-up ads & bloatware, Decent battery life when we're on the go

Toshiba Qosmio X775 Review

The Qosmio is Toshiba's top-end multimedia and gaming notebook line. This latest iteration sports a striking design, 1.5GB graphics card, and dual hard drives. Is it any better than previous generations? Read our review to find out.

Excellent performance ; Decent backlit keyboard ; Great speakers ; Runs cool and quiet

Low resolution display ; Strange design ; So-so build quality ; Poor touchpad buttons ; A reasonably powerful gaming notebook with a low-res screen, outlandish design and mediocre build quality.

Toshiba Qosmio X775-Q7170: Is 'Entry-Level Desktop Replacement' an Oxymoron?

The Qosmio X775-Q7170 is the entry-level model of the Qosmio X770 series of desktop replacement laptops. The Q7170 sports the same snazzy design as other laptops in the series: a 17.3-inch widescreen, a red-backlit keyboard, and a fade-to-red color...

Toshiba Qosmio X775-Q7170 review

The Qosmio X775-Q7170 disappoints as a gaming machine/desktop replacement, and it's too big to function well for any other purpose. Thanks to the extra-large battery that protrudes from the bottom of the laptop, the machine does get decent battery life...
