This big screen 2-in-1 laptop will stream movies all day long

It might be bigger than Lenovo's other two-in-ones, but the 15.6-inch Flex 5 is a well-rounded multimedia machine.

Following the form of Lenovo's slimmer, smaller Yoga two-in-ones, the Flex 5's 15.6-inch display gives you more room for work and, complemented by its speakers, makes it very good for video, music and games. It also has plenty of battery life to get...

Outside of its 360-degree hinges, the design is basic and it's a bit too big and heavy to use comfortably as a handheld tablet. The exhaust fans do get loud under load.

The 15.6-inch Lenovo Flex 5 makes a nice alternative to a traditional mainstream laptop, especially if you've got entertainment in mind.

Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5-1570

It's unwieldy, like all 15.6-inch convertibles, but the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5-1570 is an attractive 2-in-1 at a bargain price. If you're seeking a bigger laptop/tablet experience, it's worth grappling with.

Priced below rivals. Classy design.

No Thunderbolt 3 port. Stylus is optional. Keyboard layout not ideal.

Bottom Line: It's unwieldy, like all 15.6-inch convertibles, but the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5-1570 is an attractive 2-in-1 at a bargain price. If you're seeking a bigger laptop/tablet experience, it's worth grappling with.

Lenovo Flex 5 (15-inch) review

Lenovo's Yoga two-in-one laptop line is so varied in sizes and configurations that it can be very difficult to nail down the differences between them. To further confuse things, the Yoga 520 is called the Flex 5 in the US and it comes in two sizes, one...

Lenovo Flex 5 15 review: A good laptop, an awkward tablet

The Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 15 is a decent laptop and oversized tablet, in desperate need of a few more fans to perform at its greatest potential.

Large screen, for a 2-in-1 ; Decent battery life

Dim screen ; Awkward bulk in tablet mode ; Aggressive throttling limits performance

The Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 isn’t a bad machine, just an awkward one. It fulfills every promise, checks every box Lenovo says it will. It is a 2-in-1 machine. It’s just that the laptop part of this equation works significantly better than the tablet...

The Lenovo Flex 5 1570 is a convertible with a fantastic display, but its battery life comes up a little short.

Lenovo Ideapad Flex 5 (15”) Review

This big convertible offers a 360-degree rotating display and dedicated Nvidia graphics. Is it the ultimate multimedia platform?

Great-looking display ; Excellent battery life ; Good keyboard and touchpad ; Built-in fingerprint reader ; Ample storage expansion capability

Ho-hum looks ; Cooling fan can be noisy ; Gets pricey with options

Lenovo Ideapad Flex 5 (15) review – Wacom drivers and a 4K HDR display option

Often times, 15-inch 2-in-1 laptops are not really practical. They are heavy, difficult to handle, and just too spacious. However, they have one big advantage – a big touchscreen. So, if you …

Makes great use of the Wacom drivers and its optional Digital Pen;Decent performance and battery life;4K IPS display option;Doesn’t use PWM for any brightness level (AUO B156HAN02.5);Supports PCIe x4 SSDs, WiFi 6 standards, and SD cards

Lacks a Thunderbolt connector; No RAM upgradability post-purchase;50% sRGB coverage (AUO B156HAN02.5);Poor color accuracy (AUO B156HAN02.5);Its base is a bit twisty
