The X552CL isn't perfect, and the limited viewing angles of the screen definitely leave room for improvement. However, it does provide good performance for a laptop in this price range, and the inclusion of the GT 710M makes this one of the few budget...

average laptop

Windows always updating, very basic pc! Old acer was much quicker. By the time you have spent out on this with extra software packages, ie office, virus...you might as well brought Apple Mac! Don't buy if you want a half decent laptop get Apple or Lenovo

Got a full refund after about a week

Errors on first day had to return it

The battery does not hold it's charge overnight from new. the laptop has had to be collected by a courier to go to a service centre and then it will be returned by courier after 7 to 10 days. This situation is totally unsatisfactory.

Performs well for the price.

Keys from the keyboard start to fall off after a few months. Battery life isn't great either.

Hasnt struggled running anything I've thrown at it so far.

Windows 8 is... well... Windows 8. Only other downside is the trackpad supporting software is awful!

Heavy, the track pad is not so good, the image a quality of the webcam is poor. I am comming from Windows 7, windows 8 is terrible to use with the trackpad and you can't downgrade to windows 7 without paying for an expensive new licence, really not...
