The Asus U52F-BBL9 is a no frills system designed for productivity and portability. This system is perfect for tackling professional projects, whether in the office or on the road.
Processor and graphics are strong. Extras like ExpressGate and Multitouch make this system even better.
No Blu-ray and no gaming mean that this system is all work and no play.

Does everything I need it to. Great for the price
The speakers are very soft, to the point where it's sometimes hard to watch movies, even with the volume maxed out. Fine with headphones, but kind of annoying

We bought this as a traveling computer so we could play games on the go. The video card is so weak it barely plays games on the lowest settings. Won't run WoW, Tera, or anything higher graphics - it can't even download them. We can play D3 and SC2 but...
Speed, response time
Keyboard buttons, mouse bar, video card

Newegg description says it can only go up to 4gig of RAM. I have upgraded to 8 gig using http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231294 just fine. everything goes much more smoothly with the new RAM.
i5, 640GB hdd, rubberized, cheap! only cost $439.00
none so far. you can tell it's a refurb, but for the price, I can overlook a few cosmetics

For the price this has been an excellent laptop. no gripes here
There is nothing I can find that i don't like about it

Get newegg warranty if you are going to buy this cheap... Fixing laptops is expensive as hell these days and you never know, these refurbished/recertified electronics are always a big risk to get defective stuff.
Awesome and inexpensive laptop for work(got it as shellshocker below 500$). Great processor and Asus quality as always
Died after 5 months... Warranty was over so now fixing this in a bunch of trouble
Kundenmeinung (newegg.com)
Even though this is a recertified laptop I have not had any issues with this product so far. Just for added protection I did buy the extended warranty of the ' just in case' times.
Great laptop, very fast core i5 Like new
None

Whilst placed on hold for extended periods of time talking with ASUS support, have to listen to marketing spiel about great ASUS quality ..... well, just the opposite. ASUS quality is very low end of scale. DO NOT BUY ASUS
Nothing
Can't exploit more than 4G of memory ; Bricked after ASUS supplied BIOS update ; B-A-D service response from ASUS
Kundenmeinung (newegg.com)
good price looked good
returned 3 laptops all had the same video problems

I've had good experience with ASUS product up and customer service until recently. Been having trouble upgrading the RAM on another computer and found that their motherboard only takes one specific type (according to their "tech" overseas). They...
As a refurbished, it's rather cheap. The actual computer has fairly good specs. Definitely gets the job done
It keeps crashing. Though I've own this for 2 months, I've only began using it about a month ago. Consistently crashes leaving an error message about the PCI express on-board ; The laptop is also rather wide, as in too long for backpacks
