good for the price

 

If you have an old boombox with AV AUX hookups it really improves the sound quality. perfect for the college/low budget LCD HDTV. Analog/Digital TV is nice on this set when not in HD. bought for 570 @ bset buy... did research here. look for it in...

decent set

 

overall a nice product for the money. look around online, i found one of these with a front loading upscale dvd player built in for $450. great tv so far...wouldnt buy for use as a monitor (will update if i have better luck with the HDMI port).

Automatic swtiching of sources, nice display, good amount of connections, price, nice looking

VGA port has native resolution of 1024x768 and i couldn't force a widescreen format without distorting the image. i ordered a hdmi/dvi cable to see if that input has any widescreen resolutions

Very Good LCD TV

 

The only real bad thing is that I now have to purchase a new entertainment center.

Awesome picture, annoying tuner

 

The information that is displayed every time I change the channel is interesting - for about 2 seconds - then it just takes up a chunk of the screen for a few seconds every time. I just wish I had the option of turning it off - then the TV would be...

Do Not Buy This TV

 

Do not get this TV, I bought this from Best Buy as a gift for my son for X-MAS. HD looked washed out and the Wii looked horrible green everywhere. Returned it and got the Panny 32-LX70 which is a great TV.

Perfect! I searched all over to find the best LCD for the best price and as I stood between a Sony, a Samsung and this Westinghouse, I found myself riveted by the image quality. The other two lacked the brightness and the blacks that this one provided....

OK except for component inputs

 

If you don't need to use the component inputs then I recommend this set, but if you do need component (as I do) then look elsewhere or be prepared to do some swapping. Westinghouse tech support admitted that this was the most-reported problem with this...

Picture on all inputs except component is great. Nice price

Pictures from sources attached to component inputs look horrible, and no amount of adjusting will correct it. I have tried 2 different sets, one was very blue on component, the other was very green. I have seen this same comment from several other...

Great solution for the price.

 

I've only had this model for a month, so long-term quality is not a factor. As I mentioned, this is Samsung quality for off brand price. If you have the money, the 1080p model would be an advantagous investment over 720p model.

This LCD is just as good as the Samsung model but for a fraction of the price. The onboard ATSC tuner is great. Tons of connections, including VGA. The picture is sharp and crisp even in 480i. The colors are realistic and no calibration was needed out...

Overscan display is only fair, but when compared to some HDTVs, it does a decent convesion
