If you have a big collection of DVD movies then this plasma TV will definitely benefit you. You will enjoy movies in their full 854x480 pixel resolution. If you can find a better price on this unit it can be an excellent choice for HD sources also....

It's best to avoid this tv

 

We had to have this TV serviced 3 times within 6 months. Each time, it takes Toshiba 2 weeks to ship the parts & 1 week to get the service center to install them. This last time, I had it on for an hour & the Panel went out again. I called Toshiba and...

The price is decent ; The picture quality was better than I expected ; The contrast can be put to 25% (extending the life of the lighting/illumination) and still looks as good as most other brands set to 50

It breaks - usually within 6 months and it's a very, very long time before Toshiba customer service refunds your money

Bought this TV back in February '06 and was happy with the choice (did not purchase from NewEgg). Unfortunately after about 6 months I started to notice green dots in the dark areas of the picture. At first this would only occur when the TV was on for...

You can certainly tell the difference between HD and ED if the TV's are sitting next to each other in the showroom, but when the EDTV is sitting by itself in your living room the picture looks great (especially with a true HD signal). Looks pretty good...

You can certainly tell the difference between HD and ED if the TV's are sitting next to each other in the showroom, but when the EDTV is sitting by itself in your living room the picture looks great (especially with a true HD signal).

Terrible

 

Do not buy unless you get the five year warranty. Or can fix these on your own. I started having problems sence day one. I will never buy Toshiba again.

worked great look good

Like I have read all over the internet, they start getting green spots then stop working after 1 to 1-1/2 years and cost 850+ to get fixed when it originaly cost $1,200.00
