I've worked as an installer for both Comcast and DirecTV, so I've seen many HDTVs in my day. Please take my word for it, Panasonic is tops in plasma display quality! It doesn't get any better than this! Pick up the Panasonic Blu-Ray player to go with...

Cheap upgrade to HD

 

I am so glad I bought this and made the upgrade to HD, I really didn't know what I was missing until I hooked my HD box up.

TV comes out of package in Vivid mode, which exaggerates many of the colors. Go to the reviews for this television on Plasmatvbuyingguide.com, and adjust your settings to their recommendations. Colors are now perfect.

Perfect size for my TV room. Wonderful picture. This TV has great reviews on Consumer Reports. The shipping from Newegg/AIT was perfect

Incredibly clear picture, excellent contrast, and it is made by Panasonic (rated by many consumer organizations as the most reliable brand for plasma telelvisions)

Optical output will only pass Dolby Digital from HD over the air signal ; I own a component/optical switch, so this is a non-issue for me

Pansonic plasmas - most bang for the buck

 

Also own a 50px60u panasonic. Essentially the same screen technology. I have had it even longer, with no problems.

Great newegg price. Best picture for the price. Nothing compares to the Panasonics. Go to plasma tv buying guide dot com to get the best picture settings to calibrate this model

Slight con. The bezel is really glossy, and when there is a lot of light in the room, the reflection of the bezel can catch your eye. Not a big deal though
