Review: Panasonic TC-P42G10

Panasonic's 42-inch plasma has a stunning picture, but it's online bona fides didn't measure up.

Cheap! Mind-boggling blacks with tons of detail and amazing color saturation. Integrated card reader

TV can’t display web content in its picture-in-picture box. No Netflix streaming on the horizon

Review: Panasonic TC-P42G10 Viera G10 Series Plasma

Dry your eyes, plasma junkies. The untimely demise of Pioneer's Kuro line doesn't mean you'll have to forgo those deliciously deep blacks and theater-perfect colors...

Mind boggling blacks with tons of detail. THX mode is a godsend for movie buffs. Integrated SD card slots transform your plasma into a giant digital photo frame. Amazing color saturation

THX mode is bit dim for brightly lit rooms. Ethernet connectivity is nice for VieraCast, but Wi-Fi would’ve been better. At the time of testing, no Amazon VOD. Also, where’s the Netflix streaming? Staunch calibration DIYers may find the picture...

Review: Panasonic TC-P42G10 Viera G10 Series Plasma

Dry your eyes, plasma junkies. The untimely demise of Pioneer's Kuro line doesn't mean you'll have to forgo those deliciously deep blacks and cinema-perfect colours for long. In fact, even as the last of the Pioneer Kuro Elites make their way into a...

Panasonic TC-P42G10 Review – 42-inch Plasma HDTV

The G10 series from Panasonic is an offering which has all the good features but for a less price. The main difference is in the cabinet design. The Panasonic TC-P42G10 is a bit thicker than the V10 series. According to reviews, the Neo PDP technology...

Panasonic TC-P42G10 Review

This THX certified 42 inch plasma TV has impressed buyers and critics through its exceptional black levels and overall picture quality, ever since its release, being overcome only by the newest series from Panasonic V10, and, of course, the long...

Superb black levels and shadow detail, much like V10 series ; Very good colors in THX mode ; Nice to have features as Viera Cast and Internet connectivity ; Great color gamut

Color accuracy in non-THX mode requires tweaking ; Relatively expensive ; 1080p/24 mode produces flicker and is unpleasant to watch

Panasonic aimed at making picture quality in its 2009 plasma models the best ever seen. In this process, they succeeded in acquiring amazing black levels, and by adding the THX certification, to guarantee great out of the box colors. The colors are...

Wow

I looked at the lower end model Panasonic 42" plasma at Best Buy. It was noticeably darker than the surrounding LCDs, but the quality of the picture was so much better that I started researching the Panasonic line more. The G10 has a few more features...

This plasma provides such a beautiful picture. Some reviews complained that it didn't produce a a bright enough picture, but it looks absolutely stunning to me. It does take a little tuning, and whether THX mode being on creates a better picture is...

The stand doesn't swivel... Seriously. That's all I can think of

Awesome Picture

Took a little longer to get delivered than I had hoped for. In the carrier's defense, the weather in the midwest has been lousy for truckers as of late. Overall a very pleasant experience which is the norm for anything I buy from Newegg.

All I can say is WOW!! Great picture. This replaced a 2 year old 32" Sammy LCD. I just bought a Blue Ray player a month ago and was very well pleased with the HD picture on the Sammy. This plasma just blows it away

Can't think of any other than I wish they were cheaper, but Newegg had the best deal
