I've had the PT-45LC12 for less than 5 years and I'm on my 3rd lamp ($300 each). I get about 1500-2000 hrs out of the lamp, and then I go back into my pocket to dish out another $300 for a new one. Panasonic claims 5000-10000 hrs of lamp life for the ...

very nice picture, light-weight, comparable to others in size and picture quality

I've dumped $1000 in maint. and repairs after paying $3000 for the tv ; unacceptable

Bulbs NOT a problem

 

I have had this tv since February 2003 (nearly 3 years) and we watch it a lot (at least 2 hours a day). I have not had to replace the bulb yet. However, I believe it may have to do with the fact that I run it through a UPS - a battery backup, rather...

Great picture quality. No burn-in. Good sound quality. Very light in weight.

Blacks are not the deepest - that's the nature of LCD projection though.
