Mitsubishi WD-62628 HDTV

You have to sit quite a ways back from the Mitsubishi WD-62628, because at 62 inches diagonally it's one of the biggest DLP-based sets you can buy. (PC World recommends sitting back at least twice the diagonal measurement, which would be about 10 feet...

The Mitsubishi's powerful remote control is a big plus, but the sharper picture of less-expensive sets makes the WD-62628 difficult to recommend

The biggest of the TVs we tested for our latest round has a ton of inputs, but image quality wasn't as good as we'd expected.

Mitsubishi WD-627/628/727 review:

Excellent black levels; comprehensive connectivity suite; numerous picture-quality adjustments.

Poor color decoding with heavy red push; scaling robs 50 percent of the horizontal resolution from 1080i; no dedicated PC input; cannot accept 1080p signals via HDMI.

Although blessed with a great feature package, the Mitsubishi WD-62628's picture quality falls short of the competition.

Tv was made in Mexico...

None that I can find.

Too few inputs. No quick input switch. Cheap color auto leveler.

Great for High Definition only

I have owned the 62628 for three months. When viewing High Definition material from my High Definition capable cable box or viewing up-converted DVD movies the set is fantastic. During bright scenes, the picture is bright, the blacks are black. Dark ...

Good High Definition picture from High Definition sources

Non High Definition sources are almost unwatchable with shadows and blacks totally washing out.

Mitsubishi with DLP technology a solid combination so far

I've owned this TV for a month or so now and so far it's performed like a champ! This set is a 1080p DLP with a nice, glare resistant picture and the blacks look nice and dark and the colors rich. Picture quality is quite sharp and quality holds up ...

Good viewing angles, glare not an issue, sharp, crisp picture, weight and dimensions are accommodating.

None significant...setup menus re: components/settings a bit difficult initially...a nit.
