i oredered two units from newegg. both came up dead on arrival with code 0033 - tray motor smashed during packing. not once but twice in a row ; advertised support and support hours for xyzprinting are posted when you call. i called from west coast...

It makes a great paper weight

Don't buy it due to its return policy ; I recieved the unit with a bad extruder. XYZ has yet replaced my extruder and it has been a solid month. XYZ seems to be confused what to do after i mail in my extruder

Printer works great. Especially considering the price. A friend has a Makerbot and the print quality is pretty much the same

3D scanner is almost useless. A bit slower than the Makerbot, but not a big issue for me. Out of the box it only works with XYZPrinting filament. However, you can get a resetting tool to use any 1.75mm filament

Inexpensive, cool when it works

An exercise in patience; mine came with the x-axis shift problem, which took a long time for me and xyz to figure out; after 30+ calibration attempts, screw A became threaded and the nut came loose. I tried to get a refund like you can at other sites,...

This printer is easy to setup and use. I unpacked it and followed the instructions to remove the tie downs and insert the printer spool. The construction seems pretty solid and the exterior is nicely designed

The scanner leaves a little to be desired. I've only scanned a couple of things so far. The first item was ceramic and had a shiny surface. This messed with the scan and created a rough object with holes. I bought some spray on tool dip which creates a...
