A fine concept hampered by some iffy execution, the ALFiE gets enough right to warrant consideration as a second system. The user interface will try your patience, though

This is an excellent looking piece of equipment. the weight is supurb. sound is good

the remote isnt that sensitive and the wires provided with the machine to link up to your tv etc are very short

This is a very attractive and well made machine. Set up was made more difficult because of a mismatch between the equipment and the manual, though this was resolved through very good support from the manufacturer

The only downside is the imminent demise of FM. This is a problem given the quality and the price of the product, this is not a throw away item

The non-functioning Remote Control: looks completely at odds with the system and does not respond or rather correspond with the system. As many of the set up features must be activated using the remote control (clock display, channel settings, disc...
