Does not line up to standard 3.5" hot swap

 

Works for basic cabled drives

This unit does not adapt such that you can use it to mount 2.5" drives into 3.5" hot swap assemblies. Look at the picture, it has little bumps/raises where the SSD screws onto the adapter plate ; This makes the connectors (SATA, power) too high to mate...

There are much better adapters out there, some of which hold two drives and only take up one bay (one really nice one made by icydock that I recently purchased, item# N82E16817994087).

Exactly what I needed

 

Mounts from the bottom so your drive has to have screw holes on the bottom(which I'm pretty sure most do).

Works perfectly, holes lined up exactly with my OCZ SSD drive. Made of metal, came with 8 screws

Works as advertised, quality craftsmanship. Read and write times are very quick and windows boot times are extremely fast. Gives me a 7.9 WEI score

I thought this did not come with screws so I purchased them separately. Wish I would have read the contents area.

Mushkin adapter

 

Solid metal which is unlike most others found. *most are plastic with metal nuts that strip out easy*

Great price for changing over sizes for a SSD so it can fit in the normal bays

the hole patterns are only one row wide so be sure to line it up to have at least 2 screws

Non-standard mounting holes

 

Should have purchased something else. Cost more than the purchase price to return to Newegg.

Metal, not plastic

I have no idea what these are supposed to mount in, but in three of the three systems I purchased these for, the mounting holes did NOT line up with ANYTHING. In all three systems, I could only get one screw in the bracket to mount it to the chassis
