The Samsung Beat is a solid device, but the more sophisticated music phones out there make it seem clunky.

Samsung Beat - SGH-T539 (T-Mobile) review

Samsung and T-Mobile have been firmly joined at the hip the last two months. We've seen the Samsung SGH-T729 Blast and the SGH-T429 , and now we've set our sights on the Samsung SGH-T539. Also called the Beat, the SGH-T539 is a middle-of-the road flip...

The Samsung SGH-T539 Beat offers decent call quality and great battery life. It also comes with a solid feature set including Bluetooth, voice dialing, and an external memory slot.

The Samsung SGH-T539 Beat's music player and overall design was uninspiring. Also, its flat keys hampered usability.

The Samsung SGH-T539 Beat does its primary job well, but it's not the most exciting music phone in T-Mobile's stable.

Samsung T539 Beat Review

Launched exactly two years ago, one of the first handsets from the Beat series, Samsung T539 can now be tagged as a low-budget clamshell. At the time of its release, T539 was set to deliver a rich multimedia experience to its users. The design and...

Probably the most appealing trait of the clamshell is the low price and the fact that it includes more than just basic features. EDGE connectivity, as well as the 1.3-megapixel camera make a fine addition to the device' fact sheet. I could also...

The bad side of the phone is the simple fact that it lived to be used in 2009. Unfortunately, by today's standards, it is ugly, under-equipped and not so great value for money. Its cheap look won't attract buyers, as the market features better looking...

The keyboard is very user friendly ; Picks up a signal in even the hardest to reach areas ; It's a text machine! Allows users to text with virtual ease making text messaging fun ; Ring tones and calls are of high quality ; Excellent battery with...

The phone freezes while accessing the menu function ; Speakerphone is less than efficient. Users have to strain to hear the other party on speakerphone ; The backlight doesn't stay on long enough to be helpful ; The screen colors are less than...

Although the Samsung Beat-SGH-T539 has some very real flaws it has many more wonderful features. Best of all it allows users to rock while calling people listed in the roll.

Great upgrade

Down loadable games free or pay... Has an ICON for every function or feature, missed call, blue tooth, can control other blue tooth hardware other than a headset. Can setup voice answer. Say "Answer" or "busy", phone will do the rest. Pretty much a...

Better sound than last phone. light weight and look cool.

If you have big hands/fingers the buttons are hard to "" single out"" and you may end up hitting more than one.

I love this little stylish technologically advanced phone. I don't purchase new cell-phones at all, because I think they are all overpriced. However, I do wait until my length of service is up with a certain phone before I decide on a trade where I...
