Samsung Galaxy Indulge - black (MetroPCS) review

We have to hand it to MetroPCS. The contract-free carrier is gripping the 4G bull by the horns and making the 4G-capable Samsung Galaxy Indulge its first lasso at the smartphone rodeo. The Indulge, an off-shoot of Samsung's respectable line of glossy...

The Samsung Indulge has a responsive slide-out QWERTY keyboard, good call quality, and the distinction of being MetroPCS' first 4G Android smartphone.

Poor battery life might make some buyers think twice, and the specs don't stand up to higher-end Galaxy S phones. It's also rather expensive.

With strong specs and good call quality, the Indulge is arguably MetroPCS' best phone, but the weak battery life is a disappointment.

Samsung Galaxy Indulge (MetroPCS)

The first LTE smartphone available in the U.S., the Samsung Galaxy Indulge is the most powerful handset you'll find on MetroPCS. But you can get better bang for your buck.

Fastest, most powerful smartphone on MetroPCS. Full keyboard.

Expensive. Feels flimsy when compared with other high-end smartphones. Dim screen. Poor voice quality.

Samsung Galaxy Indulge Review

Even though Verizon released its first 4G LTE smartphone last month, the HTC ThunderBolt, some of you may have missed the fact that the first ever 4G LTE Android smartphone in the U.S. was actually launched by MetroPCS about a month before that - the...

Samsung Indulge hands-on

The Samsung Indulge is the first LTE Android phone, running on metroPCS' dual CDMA/LTE network. It also checks in at a very affordable $399 price point -- and that's on a no-contract metroP...

and basically the same Touchwiz we're all used to. We'll be sure to look for the minor differences while we use the Indulge and wrap all that up at the end. For now though, the first thing I did was fire up the camera so you could see my first...

Samsung Galaxy Indulge 4G Review by Sydney | PhoneDog

The Samsung Galaxy Indulge is the first 4G LTE Android smartphone available on the market. That means that while all of Verizon's customers are waiting for 4G , you prepaid MetroPCS customers can already enjoy all of the 4G good-ness you...

1 GHz Hummingbird processor; 4G; Android 2.2; TouchWiz UI; decent physical keyboard

Camera could have been better; somewhat poor battery life; price

The Galaxy Indulge is easily the best smartphone available from MetroPCS. If you have the extra cash, go for it; however, considering the price, I wouldn't push it. If things are tight, the Optimus M is a good alternative.

"Poor Quality Phone"

I will be looking into another Android phone, as the screen issue is unacceptable.

Decent battery life, good connection speeds.

If even one drop of water touches the screen or you leave your finger in the same spot for too long, the screen locks up or starts jumping.
