Samsung Eternity II SGH-A597 (AT&T)

The Samsung Eternity II offers smooth, broadcast mobile TV, but it doesn't have much else to recommend it.

Lightweight form factor. FLO TV is always fun (at extra cost).

Middling call quality. Slow UI. Monthly fees are too high. Too much bloatware.

Multimedia, Camera, and Conclusions The Eternity II has a roomy 512MB of free internal memory. My 16GB SanDisk microSD card worked fine in the memory slot underneath the battery cover. The music player was encrusted with extra layers of menus, folders...

Samsung Eternity II SGH-A597 (AT&T) review

When Samsung feels that it has a good idea, it's not shy about sharing it among U.S. carriers. The company certainly is doing that now with the various versions of the Samsung Galaxy S , but we also saw it spread the love back in late 2008 with four...

The Samsung Eternity II offers functional features and an eye-catching color scheme.

The Samsung Eternity II's call quality is just average. It barely improves on its predecessor, and its display is too small for a touch-screen phone.

With a dated design and average performance, the Samsung Eternity II doesn't give us reasons to buy it over the original Eternity.

Samsung Eternity II Review

Everywhere you turn or look, there are a handful of Samsung phones that feature their all too familiar TouchWiz interface that's heavy on homescreen personalization with its sheer amount of widget offerings. Looking back at it now, it was only two...

Samsung Eternity II Review

The Samsung Eternity 2 is supposed to be the next popular mid-range phone for AT&T but with many features that are almost the same as its two-year-old predecessor the Eternity 2 has a tough hill to climb. This review of the device will cover the...

The Samsung Eternity 2 has some nice features, is well-made and the drawbacks don’t completely ruin the experience. All that being said, at $79.99 I just can’t get behind this device. For just a few dollars more you can get a decent smartphone that...

Samsung Eternity II Review - AT&T Phone Reviews by Mobile Tech Review

The Samsung Eternity II (a597) comes almost 2 years after the original Eternity (a867)'s release, oddly not as an upgrade device despite the hint of a sequel in the name. The Samsung Eternity II has by and large similar specs and services as the...

Strong multimedia features, nicely built device that feels comfortable in hand ;

Touch screen takes more effort to use, battery life could be better

and the LG VU Plus). From a specs stand point, the Samsung Mythic is more compelling than the Eternity II if you don’t need a QWERTY keyboard. Eternity users who have been waiting for an upgrade should wait or look elsewhere as the Eternity II isn’t...
