LG Quantum (AT&T)

The LG Quantum is the first widely-available Windows Phone 7 with a full, hardware QWERTY keyboard.

Full QWERTY keyboard. LG throws in some extra apps. Good RF reception. Solidly built.

Heavy. Smallish screen. Bizarrely shaped and positioned shift and function buttons. Poor camera.

Multimedia and Conclusions As a Windows Phone, the Quantum is great for playing music and video over wired headphones plugged into the 3.5-mm jack. Stereo Bluetooth support was spottier; I could play music over Altec Lansing BackBeat headphones, but...

LG Quantum (AT&T) review

Editors' note: In this review, we'll focus more on the LG Quantum's design, performance, and differentiating features. For more on its operating system and core functions, please read our full review of Windows Phone 7 .

The LG Quantum features a spacious full QWERTY keyboard and solid hardware. LG throws in 10 free apps. The Windows Phone 7 device has full wireless options and DLNA support, as well as a 5-megapixel camera with HD video capture.

The Quantum is heavy. The screen is on the smaller side, and Windows Phone 7 has limited landscape support. No expandable memory.

Some design issues aside, the LG Quantum is a solid Windows Phone device with a spacious QWERTY keyboard for messaging fanatics.

LG Quantum Review

The launch of Windows Phone 7 has been greeted with open arms and adulation by consumers all around due to its fresh new looks, responsiveness, and the complete reinvention of a Windows OS on a mobile scale. But compared to the majority of the existing...

LG Quantum Review by Aaron

As one of the initial Windows Phone 7 devices, the LG Quantum offers a 1 GHz processor, 3.5-inch display, 5.0-megapixel camera, and is one of two launch devices to sport a physical QWERTY keyboard. It's a well-rounded device, and takes LG out of the...

As one of the few Windows Phone 7 devices to offer a physical QWERTY keyboard, the Quantum packs a speedy 1 GHz processor, 5-megapixel camera with a flash, and 1,500 mAh battery

Quantum looks a lot like a featurephone; smallish display in comparison to the other WP7 devices ; The Verdict: If you need the physical keyboard, the LG Quantum is your device. Otherwise, there's more to like in the HTC Surround and Samsung Focus

The Quantum offers a nice physical QWERTY keyboard and packs a large (by Windows Phone standards) 1,500 mAh battery, but for AT&T customers looking for a more media-rich experience, but the smaller screen and featurephone-like design could sway...

Review: LG Quantum

LG's first Windows Phone 7 device is the Quantum, which comes out swinging with a QWERTY keyboard and solid build quality. Is there enough to set it apart from the other WP7 devices?

Kundenmeinung (cnet.com)

Reasonably sized phone, works great, just lacks apps.

I went from a Windows 6.5 phone to this & I like it. I have never used an iphone or android, so I wouldn't know how they compare. I like this phone...my last LG phone was a flip phone I had several years ago & it was a good device. Windows had a thing...

I enjoy the physical keyboard & the auto-correct is great. Apps that they do have are for the most part quick & functional. Great multitasking. Love live tiles, just need more popular apps.

After a couple months battery requires daily charging. App selection is VERY LIMITED! Facebook app is terrible & the people hub is ok, just not complete. Need more personal options in alert/msg tones as well as color choices. Just not popular enough!

"Frumpy on the outside, gorgeous on the inside."

Though lacking a huge screen like the HTC TITAN, Super AMOLED Plus like the Samsung Focus, or a absolutely stunning design like the Nokia Lumia 800, the LG Quantum delivers to hardware keyboard lovers in an overall well-constructed compact package....

-Best keyboard I've used, both onscreen & physical

-Frumpy

-Best keyboard I've used, both onscreen & physical -Fast & fluid -WP7.5 -DURABLE! I've dropped it about 6ft onto tile & it's still fine -Metal back cover and curved edges make solid feel in hand -3.5 in screen is high res -Battery life is pret

-Frumpy -The bottom part of the phone is a little creaky, but that may be from a tumble it took a while ago. -Viewing angles aren't excellent, but are still decent! -LCD Screen = blacks are a dark-ish grey -Camera quality is decent for 2010, not 2012

Can't Complain

I wanted a windows phone since I'm mostly in the windows ecosystem. Can't really go wrong with a 1st gen product for this price. Win Ph 8 doesn't seem to have too much more than the current Win Ph 7. I didn't want to re-up w/my current carrier for a...

Inexpensive, Zune player, simple interface, slide out qwerty keyboard. The phone is solidly built. It is much smaller than what I anticipated

A little on the heavy side. I knew it would be heavy but not this heavy it does have some weight. Also I am not a big fan of on screen keyboards especially with a screen this small. Couldn't get the phone to update to the 7.8 release which is mostly...
