Panasonic AG-DVC7 Mini DV Camcorder Review

In times where most everything is getting smaller, Panasonic has recycled the idea that bigger is better. The design of the new AG-DVC7 is a blast from the past, sporting a large rear-end that allows for easy and stable shoulder shooting. There is...

Shoulder-mounted stability ; Professional appearance ; Consumer price

Bulky ; Hollow plastic construction

A shoulder-mounted shooter with a professional look, at a consumer price.

Fantastic camcorder!

Neither this camera nor the DVC20 supports XLR input, but I really wish that people would stop complaining about that! The Beachtek XLR-to-1/8" converter attaches to one of the DVC7's cold shoes and plugs right into the external micropone input. That's...

I bought this camcorder in Feb 2006 after renting it out a year before. This camcorder is fantastic! Colors are not as good as a 3 CCD unit, obviously, but in low-light conditions this camera completely whipped a Canon XL-1 (3 CCD) that I rented...

The 2.5" LCD is rather small, especially when the flip-out panel could easily accomodate a 3.5" LCD. Widescreen is 16:9 "soft matte", not anamorphic. 750x digital zoom is a totally useless feature

Not 'PRO' but a lot for the $$$

I have 2 of these cameras. I use them for weddings and for church broadcasting. There is some drawbacks on the cameras. The first thing I would like to see is a way to use the zoom with out using the buttons on the camera. Yes I know it has a remote ...

Panasonic AG-DVC7 DV Camcorder

I am, so far, very pleased with my Panasonic AG-DVC7 camcorder.

Very light weight, excellent price,DV input/output terminal for easy editing, all control functions easily accessible.

Viewfinder too small, interior shoots require manual white balance adjustments.

Definitely Professional Considering...

Panasonic AG-DVC7 seems to be aimed at those wedding videography professionals who were using the Panasonic AG-45X series or the AG-460 series of S-VHS format camcorders. I must applaud their marketing personnel as this group of wedding videographers ...

Great colors, look, price! Vivid black, ergonomic controls, Shoulder pad, Manual overrride. 16:9, EIS

Multiple functions on buttons. Weak headphone amp! Only 1 chip
